General Procedure for an IPL treatment
Hair Removal Cooling gel will be applied to the treatment area. Eyes are covered with tissue or dark glasses to protect against the light. Then we treat your skin with energetic light pulses. The Niveve Mobile Beauty System™ impulselight technology (IPL) removes unwanted hair. Highly controlled impulselight pulses are absorbed selectively by the melanine in the hair, converted into heat and given off to the follicles under the surface of the skin, when they are in a certain growth stage (anagenic). Before treatment: The parameters are individually established for an effective hair removal and the protection of your skin. During treatment: Pigments in the hair absorb the light and convert it to heat. This heat energy destroys the follicle. After treatment: Hairs will fall out from a destroyed follicle after 2 – 20 days and will not grow back.
